About

Richard Malmos

I have been an integral part of the VO industry for over 35 years. Currently based in Los Angeles, I began my journey into the world of entertainment and broadcasting at a young age.

At 11 years old, I took his first step onto the tiny stage of Park Place elementary school in Houston, TX as the star of his school Christmas show, “A Christmas Carol.” I played Ebenezer Scrooge, complete with authentic British accent. That allure of performance grabbed me by the soul and I never let go again!

By the time I graduated high school, I was performing in musicals, the marching band, and numerous stage plays.  I just knew I was well on my way to bigger and better venues.

After a stint at SMU Meadows School of the Arts and Mountain View College deep in the heart of Dallas TX, I was ready for my Broadway debut. But a funny thing happened on the way to the Big Apple... LIFE. I soon got married, started a family, and needing to settle down and pay bills, and thus, left showbiz.

Or so I thought... fast forward a number of years.

Thanks to a lifelong friend, Randy Clower, I soon entered the world of radio broadcasting. Ironically, and almost impossibly, I got my start in a top 10 market.

After honing my skills on the air and in the production room, I set my sights on the television side of broadcasting as well. Lending my dulcet tones as an announcer, and my wacky and charming demeanor as the co-host of a weekly entertainment show, I was finally beginning to see my dreams fulfilled. The showbiz community was finally opening up to me and since that time, I’ve never looked back!

After a time in the Midwest in both radio broadcasting and on-camera work in television, I relocated to Los Angeles, where I have lived and worked for the last 20 years. In that time, I have worked with some of the brightest and the best in the entertainment industry. From shows like Extra and the Late, Late Show, to networks such as Disney, SciFi , HBO, NBC, and PBS, I has been privileged to be a part up some of Hollywood’s legendary venues and broadcasts.

Now I’m hoping to have the opportunity to work with you.  If you’re ready, so am I!
